Festive Pillsbury Christmas Cookie Sandwich
Ingredients
Pillsbury Christmas Cookies:
- 1 Pillsbury Christmas Cookie package
Vanilla Buttercream:
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Holiday Sprinkles, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350. Bake cookies as directed on package. Let them cool completely.
- In a small bowl with a handheld mixer, beat the room temperature unsalted butter until smooth in texture. Add in the powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Slowly add in the heavy cream until you have reached your desired textured.
- For each cookie sandwich, pipe roughly one tablespoon of vanilla butter cream. Top with a second cookie and gently push down to have buttercream spread. Roll in holiday sprinkles to cover the buttercream. Enjoy immediately or place in the fridge until ready to serve.
