  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Chocolate Chip Cookies:

  • Add the unsalted butter to a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until fully melted, then set aside to cool for about 15 minutes.
  • To the cooled melted butter, add the light brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  • Add in all the dry ingredients and mix until the dough is just combined, leaving behind a few streaks of flour. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, portion the dough into 2-tablespoon balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 375. Place 8 cookie dough balls on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes then allow the cookies to remain on the hot baking sheet for an additional 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
